I've had an e-mail exchange recently in which the writer ended their messages with "make it a great day" or something along those lines. I found that interesting. I like it! I'm used to the "have a nice day" phrase, but "make it a great day" reminds me that I have a choice about the attitude I will have. It also takes the focus off of me. If I'm making it a great day, there's a chance I'll be doing something with or for someone else. So, instead of wishing you to "have a great day," how about I suggest you, "create a great day!"
