I had such a neat thing happen yesterday that I’d like to share to encourage you.

We had Chicken Caesar Salad planned (from ABC) for Refresh (my working woman’s Bible study) on Thursday, and my assistant told me there had been a little mix up so there would not be any chicken with the Caesar salad after all. Our Refresh ladies seem just happy to have a lunch provided so we weren’t going to make a big deal of it.

The first lady to arrive was someone who had never been to Refresh before, but the topic of praying Scripture intrigued her. She is very new to the faith and exploring what it all means.

I welcomed her to “help herself” to lunch and she graciously explained that she was a “peskitarian” meaning that she does not eat poultry. (I’d never heard the word before but I digress.) She had planned to simply refrain from lunch…but instead, it was an opportunity for us to be glad in our Father who cares about every detail!

The other ladies at Refresh were hopefully encouraged by the experience too, and in light of all the instability in the world right now, I share it with you as both a reminder that God has things under control and that sometimes we don’t need to “go crazy” when certain details don’t seem to fall into place. J
