There are times that you need to simply remove a task from your to-do list.

No guilt.
No major explanation.
No argument.

Simply say "No, this week is too (you fill in the blank) to expect to get that task done as well."

Thus, a short blog post this week. Ironically, I can still check "do blog post" off my weekly list. But, I have eliminated other tasks this week, due to the major surgery of my father-in-law. (Which has gone well...thanks for the prayers.)
